Week 5: Landscape.....

The backstory to this photo was that I was feeling EXTREMELY anxious....that's my kids out there in the waves.  From where I was standing those were HUGE waves.  My husband assured me that they were fine, and ended up going in to appease me!

You can see the bad weather rolling in and it felt foreboding, by the time we got back to our camp it started raining.

The challenge seems to be going well ......feedback welcome!

Week Three and Four - DOUBLE WHAMMY!

Week Three:

So this need to be something shot in Red that inspired me.  It was meant to be 'artistic'!! It needed to be the focus of the image.

Fortunately for me we have been camping, in a red tent in the rain!  Thus.....this

Week Four:

The brief for this was a headshot.  Thankfully I had an obiliging model in between swimming and collecting shells!

So this was a quick post to get me up to date!  YAY!  Still on track!

Week 2 Landscape Challenge!

Week 2!

The challenge this week was to shoot a landscape.  However I wanted to make sure it wasn't one around home.  I am lucky enough to live in a magic spot and have wonderful view but for this challenge I wanted a spontaneous landscape!

So driving home from lunch out I saw this view - vines for Africa, big blue sky and grass waving in the wind - the perfect Hawkes Bay Summer's day!

I wonder what next week's challenge will hold!

Photo Challenge 2019

Happy 2019!

This year I have set myself a goal of a photo challenge - one photo a week from a list of set tasks.

I tried to do this last  year and failed terribly.

So, but putting it here I am accountable, well sort of!

Anyway Week One - Self Portrait

This was hard.  I really hate being in front of the camera.  I have some weight issues (that is another whole blog post), am not in love with my hair and am in total holiday mode so very lax with the attention to appearance - just liking hanging out, pottering and certainly had to push myself to get this done before the week was up.  However it's done.

Looking at this photo I actually don't see the weight, hair or appearance stuff.  I just see me at home.  So overall it's a win.

Watch this space for my journey this year - and if you don't see any posts...hassle me!
